Fonkel Extra Old has ripened for 100 weeks and excels in flavour and presentation. The cheese has a firm, crumbly texture, plenty of visible ripening crystals and a powerful flavour that reveals itself layer by layer. This bold, complex Fonkel takes the lead on the cheese board and rounds off any dinner in style.
Fonkel is cheese that shines in flavour and character. You can taste the weeks of ripening: from 36 weeks Extra Mature to 55 weeks Old and 100 weeks Extra Old. The cheese masters look, feel, smell and taste. Only when flavour and texture truly shine may the cheese be called Fonkel.
