ONZE KAAZ Cumin Semi-Matured 48+ is made to a special MAAZ Cheese recipe with the addition of cumin seed. This fine North Netherlands cheese is part of a range made at Kaasmakerij Heerenveen.
That creamery is technologically unique in the Netherlands and is known for producing cheese of very consistent, high quality. To reach maximum flavour and consistency across every age, two separate recipes are needed: young to matured, and extra matured to extra aged. The young to matured cheeses are marked by an exceptional creaminess while still slicing well. 100% meadow milk and vegetarian rennet are used to make ONZE KAAZ Cumin Semi-Matured. The natural yellow colour is lightly deepened with a plant colour extract, carotene. It comes from carrot, among other sources, and is not treated as an E-number.
